Hello and welcome

Im Sandra,

I’m a LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent affirming counsellor, couples’ therapist, hypnotherapist, and supervisor, based in central Eastleigh, Hampshire.

I work with adults only and specialise in helping people with anxiety, low self-esteem and relationships issues. I often find that these go hand in hand and that there are usually underlying issues such as stress, depression, grief or childhood trauma. I am also passionate about supporting neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ individuals and couples.

I work in a supportive and facilitative way but can also be direct and interject with gentle a challenge. I believe that therapy is about forming a relationship, working with a person you can both trust and feel a connection with, is the most important element of successful therapy. I therefore offer a complimentary 15- 20-minute telephone or online introductory call for us to get to know each other. I can answer any questions or concerns you may have whilst you decide if I am the right person for you. If after speaking on the phone you decide you’d like to move things forward we can book in your first session, where we will be going through some history and your reasons for seeking counselling.

Welcome

SERVICES

Individual Counselling

I offer bespoke therapy tailored to your needs, assisting you in exploring and understanding your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. I will help you find new ways to solve problems, grow in confidence and develop more meaningful relationships with yourself and others.

Couples and Family Therapy

Couples and relationship therapy is suitable for any couple, heterosexual, same sex, as well as for families, such as mother and daughter.

Together we will explore and cultivate a more meaningful, loving and understanding relationship with yourselves and others.

Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is a complementary therapy that utilises the power of positive suggestion to bring about subconscious change to our thoughts, feelings and behaviour. It can help many issues and conditions and is widely endorsed as a treatment for habit breaking, stress-related issues and for a range of long-term conditions.

Counsellor Supervision

I offer supervision to trainee and qualified counsellors on an individual or group basis.

I believe that Supervision is a collaborative process of support and learning. I work in a relational way to support you, enabling you to provide a safe and ethical service to your clients, whist continuously developing yourself and your practice.

ABOUT ME

I would describe my working style as being respectful and collaborative.  Whilst I am supportive, empathetic, and compassionate, I can also be direct, interjecting when needed, so it's important to let your feelings be known to me.
